Place is great. Service is awesome. Keep bringing the chips. The chimichuga is delicious. It's funny but I kind of want to try the burger next time.

Love the food here, the Beef taco is abundant and the Chili Relleno was fluffy and delicious. The staff here is always friendly and the service excellent. I like the atmosphere here, very comfortable. It's always a nice place for us to end our week and have Sunday dinner with the Family.

Service is always excellent. You're seated immediately, your drink orders are taken as soon as you are seated. Drinks are served promptly, also served with your drinks is a basket of chips and a delicioussalsa. Your order is taken almost immediately after receiving your drinks. Food is served deliciously hot just the way I like it. Wait staff go to all tables refilling water, soda, and coffee if you want. It's an amazing experience. Did I mention that the food is superb. Yup, a great experience. All orders can be tweaked to your specific tastes.

I was pretty excited to eat here after seeing a few pictures of their food, but after going today I should have just stayed home. Would have gotten better service. We were sat on the empty side of the restaurant which we didn’t mind because it was quieter but we never got service. Brought our drinks and never came back. After about 20 mins, we just got up and left. Really sad because it looked good. But there servers didn’t care about the business

Food is great but it takes forever to get it. If you're not in a hurry or starving then enjoy the chips and salsa with conversation until your meal finally arrives. The Sope's are fantastic and the reason I keep going back! Craving some just thinking about them!

As we entered the restaurant for lunch, we were discussing how a few of our friends believe this restaurant is better than our favorite. I had said that service was much quicker which makes a difference. Taste of food is fine, but not delicious. Well, I had to take back what I said- service was horrible this time. Our party was placed across the main area by ourselves. There were 4 servers handling the main area and we were totally forgotten. We had to wait for a long time before we receive refills on water, never had a chance to ask for extra napkins. We generally tip well, but I couldn't see giving even a decent tip. I was just watching all 4 servers catering to everyone while we were completely ignored. A few minutes later, a 5th server returned only to assist the others.

Food and service were excellent. Love eating at this restaurant. Been a customer for many years.

We love the food and amazing service. A wonderful Gathering Place with your friends or family. Enchilada and chile relleno is certainly our all-time favorites. Fresh warm chips brought to your table as they sit your down.

I had chef tostada salad. They make the best shredded beef! The margarita was so good. And the staff is great. I have no complaints!

Had a chicken salad and the bottom had so much water the last few time I order notice nothing is the same I just found out the they have a new owner and all new staff not good they should have keep the old staff and the prices got too higher

Had the most amazing dinner at Casa Alvarez. Shrimp cocktail was perfectly seasoned with just a hint of horseradish, albondigas soup with seasoned meat balls to perfection, tostada salad with the juiciest of carne asada, and hubby enjoyed a delicious Chile verde wet burrito topped with eggs. Overall a great meal. Homemade salsas, margaritas, and flan pushed it over the top to fabulous. Highly recommend this place.

This was the first time I had been here. The ambiance was wonderful. Stream's of red hearts hung around the room. Cute, vases with red or pink flowers in them with tiny hearts planted in the middle. The food was delicious, and oh so plentiful I couldn't finish my. The service was great. Smiling friendly waitresses and or waiters there to wait on you

Casa Alvarez has been around forever. My friends who grew up in the area have been eating it since they were kids. They make solid Mexican food if you like wet burritos, enchiladas, rice, beans, etc. They have pretty reasonable prices and you can have big groups. We brought in about 20+. They are super accommodating and nice as well. It isn't easy handling such a big needy group but we made it work!

This is a one of the few local restaurants which survived in Rowland Heights so called 'Little Taipei' Like their authentic Mexican food. Reasin I gave 4 stars, their seafood. Seafood are little disappointed every time when I ordered. So I stopped ordering seafood after 3rd try. Other than that I like this authentic restaurant.

Been coming here for a long time. Good food and service. Cooks are very consistent. Lots of parking. Try their unique style of Mexican food from certain places in Mexico. Prices are getting up there though.
